The ASAIHL - Scopus Young Scientist Awards are given annually to outstanding young scientists and researchers in Asia-Pacific who have made significant contributions to scholarship and research.

These awards would be given in the following four categories: (1,000 USD for each category)

	Agricultural Sciences	Agricultural & Biological Sciences Veterinary

	Engineering & Technology	Engineering Energy Materials Science Chemical Engineering Computer Science

	Medicine	Medicine Health Professions Nursing Dentistry

	Life Sciences	Immunology and Microbiology Biochemistry, Genetics and Molecular Biology Pharmacology, Toxicology and Pharmaceutics Neuroscience

►Eligibility

Open to candidates from Asia-Pacific, excluding Japan, USA, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. Candidates should be less than 40 years of age as of July 14th, 2008

►Evaluation

Average number of citations per paper and h-index
Average number of publications and patents per year
Documented social impact

►Deadlines

Nominations and Applications open starting July 14th, 2008.
Close on midnight of October 10th, 2008
Results to be announced in mid-November

►Application Process

Candidates for the award can be put forth by nomination or direct application. All applications and/or nominations must be supported by two letters of recommendation
